Playing hookey from homework

Yesterday night Kendall and I "played hookey" from homework. Yes, yes, we have tonnes of work to do. But Yesterday we had both handed in our major Exegesis papers and led the class through a discussion of our various passages. Then we had a long afternoon class and Hebrew class from 4:30 to 5:30. so we were understandably tired by the time evening came around.

My first inner sign that I might not get much work done came when Kendall said he was going to go grocery shopping and I realized I really wanted to go with him. I was delighted to get out of the house and grocery shopping was the most interesting thing in the world.... so we decided to make a date of the rest of the evening. We had brownies and icecream and fancy coffees at Applebee's.

At the end of the evening, I thought I lost my purse. Which wasn't fun. But it turns out that it was between the seat and the wall. But the hour before we found it was not exciting, to say the least.

Now it's time to crack the books and get going on the next big paper on the list.

First Blog, there's a first for everything

Well, this is my first posting on the blog. It's a funny time to start a blog, but I've been getting somewhat interested in the notion, and thought it might be a good way to start connecting with my friends and family who are scattered - and who knows, I might even make some new ones.

Sometimes I think I write in order to know what I think - and this might just be a vehicle to know what I think.

I'm not all that .html literate, but I understand that this blogger tool is pretty user friendly. We'll see! This will be somewhat of an experiment to see how well I pick up what's necessary in carrying on this whole 'blog thing'. I'm looking forward the process, anyhow!

Funny, about 5 years ago, I had a phobia about having my photo and/or name on the internet. Now I'm putting myself right out there. I think that says a lot about how much more confident I have become in myself in that time, and how more sure I am that who I am is worth putting out there...

so. the adventure begins.
